You can lose yourself in the myriad pharaonic offerings of both sides of the Nile at Luxor amidst magnificent ancient cities, temples and cavernous tombs. On the East Bank lie the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor, intermingled with the streets and neighborhoods of the modern city, and each being unique in its architectural layout of processional ways, obelisks, halls and courtyards. The landscape of the West Bank boasts the Valley of the Kings and its multitude of tombs with highlights being those of the Pharaohs Ramses III, Ramses VI, and Seti I. Here also, the Valley of the Queens impresses similarly with the tombs of Amen Khopshef and Kham Waset, with the nearby Medinat Habu and Ramesseum showcasing other grand ruins of ancient Egypt.
